Mark Robinson has over 34 years of experience in the cruise, travel and tourism industries, Mark thrives in environments that present a new challenge or new change to the cruise industry. He is a natural leader and ambassador accustomed to driving business by building long lasting relationships with clients, authorities and stakeholders at both global and local levels.
In 2003 Mark created and then grew Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services, a brand within the TUI Group, from a one-port-operator business in Barcelona, Spain into the world's largest cruise handling business. As Chief Commercial Officer of Global Ports Holding, the world's largest cruise port operator, Mark developed its commercial strategy, enhanced customer experience and spearheaded the development of the Group’s ancillary services in its 21 cruise ports worldwide. He played a critical role in the acquisition and negotiations of the company’s Caribbean cruise ports and other ongoing global projects. For the past year Mark held the position of Chief Commercial and Operations Officer for Cruise Saudi based in Jeddah where he was he was heavily involved in the start up of the cruise operations in the country’s 5 ports and promoting Cruise Saudi globally as a new destination for the cruise industry. Mark has recently moved back to his home in Sitges, Barcelona, Spain.
Mark has successfully completed senior leadership executive programs at the Insead Fontainebleau Business School in Paris and has participated in various executive leadership programs with Kornferry and attended various senior leadership and management courses. Mark was Executive Chairman of the CLIA Diamond Associate Member scheme and is an active speaker and moderator at various global cruise industry and tourism events for many years and is a well respected figure in the tourism and cruise sector.
