Leyla Öner Güncavdı has spent more than two decades shaping cruise experiences and destination partnerships at Tura Turizm. She joined the company in 2001, has worked extensively in its cruise division, and has served as Board Member and Chief Executive Officer since 2021.

Born in Brussels, Leyla graduated from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul with a double major in International Relations and Public Administration, and Psychology. She began her career in Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served at the Turkish Embassy in Mexico from 1998 to 2001. During her time there, she earned a master’s degree with honours from Universidad de las Américas, focusing on international corporations and international relations.

Leyla brings a diplomatic perspective to the cruise industry, alongside extensive experience in shore excursions and the relationship between cruise lines and destinations. She has spoken at FCCA, Seatrade, GSTC and International Cruise Summit events on itinerary planning, guest experience, workforce development and sustainable tourism.

Based in Istanbul, Leyla speaks English, French and Spanish.
